Viruses and Stress

Well, Its been awhile since I have posted… And honestly I can say that its because I have been really sick. I have had a stomach virus the past week and me being stressed is one of the main reasons it was as bad as it was. While I was sick I was still able to do some work and make another adsense site. This one is on Dog Training and has actually some REALLY good information about Dog Training, Dog Food and Doggie Health.

On the other side it has been a very eventful week since I have gotten back into World of Warcraft. I might say that this is a bad choice simply because I have gotten addicted to it before, but with the Lord’s providence I won’t, heh.

Pray for me that I will get better and not get addicted to WoW.

Bad Day… Very Bad Day

Ok, Yes this time its really a bad day… The Johnsons had a bad car day. For one my sister got into a car accident that totaled her car. I feel for her, because it was her first car. Foruntantly no one was hurt and everyone walked away.

On the other hand my car’s hand brake faulted on me and my car coasted into another car giving me some real nice fender damage, which totally sucks. *sigh* Today has just been a crappy day.

Hopefully my luck will pick up, I have started to create a dumb adsense site to try to bring in some extra income. The link is www.hybrid-green-vehicle.com its basicly a site that I will throw ads all over it to try to get some decent money.

Cops and Lawyers

By my title you are probably wondering “O my gosh?! Did he get in trouble?!” and to answer your question. No I did not get in trouble I actually had a meeting today with a Deputy in Austin named Dax. Dax is starting his own law firm and he requested to meet and talk about some SEO services. Hopefully he will go with my services but if not I wish him the best of luck. I would recommend Dax he is a real down to earth guy and was a blast to talk to. I also am making a Real Estate Website template for Discovery Real Estate in the Austin area. I created a pretty nifty flash banner (just a banner not a site) and will hopefully be accepted by them.

I am also trying to get out of a housing situation I am in and currently looking for apartments. A friend and I applied for a couple houses but we were denied due to no rental history. Thats kind of frustrating but what can we do? I would rather move into a house instead of an apartment but in our situation there is almost no choice.

Also my student loans are now due! I am having to pay on them and the loan place is calling me like 20 times a day! Its quite annoying, I personally don’t have the money in my budget to pay anything right now. I know what y’all are thinking “Welcome to the real world”. The real world is a great place if we can all just have a good attitude. I am going to have a good attitude and enjoy life… even with debt because of student loans.

Sisters Graduation

My sister graduated on Friday leaving me pretty busy. I am so proud of her! She has matured so much since we were little. We used to fight so much when we were children it was sick. She went to Leander High School and loves children. Shes going to go to ACC to get her basics out of the way which is smart because I went straight into college and ended up with thousands of dollars in debt.

I remember graduating from high school, its a great feeling knowing that you don’t have to step back into that dark depressing place I called school. Growing up school was a place I didn’t want to go to, but my case was a bit more extreme, I was picked on in school and bullied but eventually I became the bully after a couple of years. It was a viscous cycle and I don’t want to repeat it. I thank God that he took me from a evil depressed angry person and changed me to be a leader for his kingdom.

I eventually dropped out of college because I felt my teachers have been teachers to long and lost that real life experience over the years. Google is my teacher… haha sounds weird eh? When people ask me about my degree I say I have an “Masters Degree in Searchology from the Google Free Institute of Learning” which is totally not a real degree but it sounds pretty sophisticated.

God has some pretty cool things in store for me, because my sister and I are miricle babies… My mom was born premature and all her brothers and sisters died at birth. My sister was a healthy baby but I died when I was born for about 40 seconds. I know God has awesome things going for the simple fact that I am alive! I take the fact that I am alive for granted so many times a day and I never remember that I actually died at one point.

I am hoping to close some leads this week on the web design part of the cycle! If any of the readers need a website and want quality / good priced work go to my North Austin Web Design website and yes I made that link have keywords. (Hint, for all you aspiring SEOers)

Today is my 2nd post! I am excited to write today because I hired my first employee. Her name is Deven and she is well versed in Photoshop and HTML but needs some real life application to web design. I also made a contact through this Austin Raw Food Coop I am involved in and I am going to help her with some web stuff. Her website is Bark for Peace and she creates some really tasty dog food treats and by tasty I literally mean tasty. Everything is human grade products and every patch is tasted by humans before given to dogs.

This is a very lovely women and can’t wait to bring my dog Roxy to her place of business on Monday. God is just doing some amazing things through the business he has me involved in.

Hopefully this week I will post a tutorial on how the Web Designer can use photoshop to Slice a template and make send it out in CSS and HTML (no tables)

My Love of Art and Code

My name is Robert Johnson and I have a love for art and a love for code. Which is totally weird because code is normally a left brained function and artsy / creative things are normally right brained. I have a greater grasp on code but all my tests show I am way right brained. Maybe my understand of Code is God inspired and my artsy side is my human nature. Who knows all I know is that I love what I do.

This blog is about my journey through life as a 20 year old web designer and my struggle owning my own business. I will share my thoughts and inspirations aswell as probably some code, articles and/or tutorials.

So my first offical post… This is interesting I have wanted to make a blog for a long time but never have done it because I have been so busy. Life is crazy! I am hiring my first intern and I am excited to have someone to help me out.

Life is great… Sometimes its a bit stressful but I have an amazing girl to help me through that. You will probably see me write about her a good amount.

So stay tuned! I am excited about this blog.
